Seasonal Tips from Daisy Garden

WELCOME SPRING

It is time to stop being a couch potato and get outside. The longer daylight makes everyone feel more energized.

Let's start by raking out all of the leaves that we did not get in the fall from your flowerbeds. Who knows you might find some crocus, daffodils or tulips starting to pop. What a nice surprise. For those of you who did not plant bulbs in the fall you can do it after Easter. After your bulbs are done blooming, plant them in the ground and let them die off naturally. No w is the perfect time to cut back your ornamental grasses that you left for winter color.

You can plant pansys now for color through June. The cooler it stays, the longer they will last.

WHAT IS NEW HERE AT DAISY GARDEN?

You will have to make a trip in to see how we have expanded our retail section to hold more trees and shrubs. You will find some unique specimens. We are sure we do carry some one- of -a- kinds. Come back often because our stock is continously changing. As the weather warms up we will offer much more in the way of annuals, perennials and tropicals.

Due to overwhelming response we do offer a planting service for all the products we sell. We will even sit with you and help you chose the right landscape that fits you. Everyone is unique and so is their garden. Ask for details when you come in.

MULCH, MULCH, MULCH

Your plants will thanks you. Not only is it a good weed preventer ( Which saves you time in the summer so you can sit back and relax), it also keeps the moisture in, so it will save on watering.

Now is also a good time to put some Organic fertilizer down. We recommed Espoma Hollytone for all of your evergreens. Your shrubs will need it after the Winter. Just follow directions on the package to prevent burning. We also carry Espoma Plant-tone which can be used on almost everything.
